The flauna cheese is roughly similar to all the other cheeses, is a hard cheese, and it has a yellow color and it is commonly used in cooking. An interesting fact is that it can also be fried just like Halloumi. The main reason of its production is its use in the traditional making of the Easter Cheese Pie “Flaouna” which is made by the Cypriots during the Easter holidays.
